Hey everyone,

Noob to this engine, I just brought a p38a 1999 RangeRover 4.0 v8 SE with (correct me in wrong) GEMs EFi engine.

When the engine is P then it revs and holds steady at 1500rpm, it does this in N aswell, when I move the selector into R,D,3,2,1 then the revs drop below 1000rpm and the revs sit steady and the car runs fine.

I had it in for MOT the day and it failed on bushes and the washer fuild and emissons, any help is greatly appriacted as I refuse to pay the Dealer price (£108 for the put on the computer to see if they can find the issue)
