Good evening,
I’m the new proud owner of a 1963 series 2A. It’s a diesel but looks like at some point in the distant past a 2.5 na 14j was installed, so not original. There’s an overdrive as a bonus but I’ll need practice the double declutch for dropping down into second as I’ve not mastered that part yet.
It’s reasonably tidy and solid and runs really sweet, but needs paint at some point. It’s something to keep me busy and to enjoy for trips into the dales.
I’ve owned a couple of Defenders in the past but not for a few years and really missed the experience. This takes “character” to a new level for me though, I never realised how noisy and how much a series can wonder the road, especially at duel carriageway speeds .

Thanks,
Richard

Welcome:).

That looks nice:). The paint is fine nothing that a few muddy puddles and some scratchy bushes wont sort:p:D.
Better off spending money on a bit of security than paint at the moment to be honest.

Enjoy it:).
