my freelander bmw diesel 53 plate thursday night my charging light came on then my dash was light a christmas tree the enging then lost power and stopped got the motor going with jump leads happened about 3 miles down the road rested it started again got it back home but it started also blowing blue smoke, i have charged the battery booking in for alternator check starts ok slight flat spot at about 2 to 3000 revs but its still blowing blue smoke at start up and when rev up PCV Valve as be upgraded would the alternator not preducing charge affect the ECU and make it produce blue smoke, HELP.
