hi pepole im new to the site and my 4.6 hse has a over reving problem i have only just had the car and the first day it was fine but today i had the battery light flashing and after a short while the car cut out so phoned my mate to get a jump start after getting it home i charged the battery and started it up now the revs go upto 3000 rpm and cannot get it to tickover under 1000 rpm it also smokes did not do this before.

Smoking could be oil related, but also as above if it has a MAF fault it would run super rich and smoke just off the fuel.
Seems like your lack of response means you dont care anyway!
