First post.

I am inheriting a Series 3. A neighbour has said for years that when he passes away, he would give me his Land Rover.

Sadly he died of prostate cancer 2 weeks ago and I am being given the keys tomorrow.

It was a workhorse for him. Used to transport lumber, masonry and anything else he needed moving so it has lost of use. I always told him I would just want to give it a wash.

I am 51 and have a bit of knowledge with Reliant Scimitars but not had a ‘classic’ for over 20 years. I much prefer no leaks and a car that starts first time.

A bit of mixed emotions, would rather the neighbour still be here as he was a good friend to everyone locally. Don’t want to let him down though 🤞

So, first question. It was first registered in 1984 so I understand it would be MOT exempt. Am I right in thinking it is tax exempt from the 41st year?

Thanks all
