Let me introduce myself; my name is Dave (as you can guess by the login) and at the age of 52, I've just bought my first Landy.

Its a 2000 Discovery GS V8 with LPG. We (my wife who puts up with my son Callum's and my constant car banter) looked at it on eBay and after a great meeting with Nigel, we bid on it and won. It needs work - overheating and ABS etc light on, but otherwise sound.

I'm trawling the forums about the overheating, so if I can't find the answers, I'm sure someone can help. I've got some good pointers, so when time permits, its bonnet up and off I go.

I must say the drive home was great, plenty of power, lovely ride but being a 5 speed manual, I know 3rd & 4th are in there somewhere, its just finding them.

especially when there not overheating,lets hope he aint bought an exspensive fix,makes you wonder why the seller didnt fix it
