Hi all i just bought a Freelander 1.8 xei R reg for the wife. The car has done 81k miles and is in very very good condition. Looks like it's never been sat it the back as the rear door's are quite hard to open and close. "I'll sort that" Looked under it to check for any off road damage and it looks like new.
I was very impressed with the condition of it and the amount of space.
It has a full history from Knutsford Cheshire Land rover and the cam-belt was changed at the last service 72k.
Seams a very tidy motor for the year. I've seen a lot of junk on my rounds looking for one.
Anything you recommend i take a close look at. How often i need to service it.

Hi and welcome..do a search for HGF and VCU problems on the Freelander and that will give you the main areas to look out for.
And as far as servicing i think its 12K...but i allways say do it before rather than after..
