I bought myself a nice new 48" hi-lift jack. It arrived I unpacked it and went out to see how well it worked on my new landrover. I put it beside the Disco and bugger me I suddenly realised that the side steps may cause me a few problems.

Can these be used with a disco with side sills ????

I used to use one on my side steps (tojo), but they were heavy steel ones attached to the chassis and bullbar. Cant do that on the Disco because of the airbags now.

A Hi Lift is mainly to use on your tow hitch and on your bullbar not the body, with or without steps, and also for jacking out the barriers that greenies put across 4WD tracks in front of you. I have even used one as a winch in a pinch.
