What have you guys done and how do you prevent them getting nicked.
Pic's would be great and any links to the accessories.

Thanks.

behind front seats or in rear if van. take it off when not off roading, if mounted to outside of vehicle. just stick a disco bottle jack in for daily use. :)

Gotta sort it out when i get home though, only issue is that it covers the rear fog light!

nice tyres :D look just like mine ;)

yeh, what size are those beasts.
What brackets are you using for the jack ?

There Cooper STT's in a 285/75/16 size. They were fitted to my 10" wide wheels though so they do seem wider, i got rid of them as they stuck out the arches too much! :(

I have a jackall, the only brand other than a Hi-Lift i would buy.

Clicky

thanks ginga.
i have the high lft here now and a stand base arriving in morning.

Did i hear you were getting rid of your defender???

i keep wanting too as every time i solve 1 prob another comes up and slowly i've rebuilt the running gear.. or so it seems.
I THINK i'm nearly there with it now though, but chasing a bad vibration and need diesel pump set correctly.
So i'm starting to focus on the looks and equipment. One more big thing and she'll be gone though, which for someone else it would be a good buy.
Just getting tired of it.

Also trying to sort the freelander and need to do servicing on vans. Plenty to do.

Yeh. I'm beginning to think that myself.
it's real nice at the moment just knowing i can leave her parked up, without using the battery kill switch, and knw i can just get in and turn the key as i've sorted the battery drain issue.
That took me an eternity but got there in the end thanks to help from jamesmartin.
And i've just got the freelander fired up after 3mths, but for an issue with an injector feed nipple.. another thread going up on that one.
Next is sorting the annoying vibration and tune her up.

I'm liking these pic ideas that are coming through. Thanks guys.
I'm especially liking the mounts above rear door up out of the way.
Could probably do that on my roof rack as looks like it will be staying on regardless of laning.

can any of you who have these mounted above rear doors please send me a link to the mounts you used and are trusted. Thanks.

thanks guy's.
always good to get the info on stuff thats used and trusted rather than throwing it away on rubbish
