SNAP! (as in the card game, not the sound your half-shaft makes on the off-road course :p )
I'm a Colchester boy meself. Live in White City, often seen around and about with Heidi the Dutch Army 109, (or maybe on the Moto Guzzi, or perhaps in the Unimog etc etc). What LR have you got? How often do you use it? Is it shiny or muddy? Why is the cow lilac?

Hi Gareth!

I live in West Mersea.

It's a 1987 (D) 90 ex military and now a tilt (was a van). The chassis was very low milage (80k kilometers) and it was converted LH to RHD by RST Motors on Mersea, had power steering added, civilian seats. I put benches in the back and love it to death! It's in drab olive and sorry to say it never looks dirty unless I go shooting at Langenhoe ranges.

It's my third 90. Iv'e had a 90 CSW (1997), a 1989 Pick Up which I stupidly bought off of eBay and believed that the chassis was good. It was absolutely rotten due to sheep urine in the mud that was caked onto the main chassis members. I found this out after I had spent an additional £1,200 doing nice bits to it.

I also had two Discoverys, but they were boring, plus the wife liked them! She hates the 90!

Just found out it has passed it's MOT today. Phew!

I need a roll cage for it. Do you know any for sale locally that aren't soppy money?

Best regards

Graham

NEVER add-up all your receipts ;)
Nice to hear it's passed the dreaded MOT. Do you go to any military shows? The season's winding down now but we're all busy planning next year's diaries. Lots of local shows and quite a few further afield too. Can't say I've seen any roll-cages for sale, have you asked at RST? Another good local LR garage is 4x4 Partsmaster in Brantham - run by Duncan Mansfield. They have small ads in the window, and I know lots of off-roaders use them. Happy hunting.
