I have recently had a fault on my 110 2.4 TDCi and after much investigation and worry, found the reason and would like to share it with others.
Over the last week a serious intermittent metallic rattle would occur when using full turbo. It would only last for a second but return a few seconds later if still using full power. It would not happen when light cruising.
To cut a long story short, it was nothing to do with the turbo BUT a loose yoke on No.3 & 4 injectors. I quick tighten of the bolt and all cured.
I thought I'd share this no cost remedy as I could not see that anyone else had had the fault.
