Quick question, are the manual tilt and slide Discovery sunroof's ok to put into a Defender? Or are they curved?

Dont do it! Sunroofs don't belong in defenders.. Every time you go around a corner it will leak all over you!

Lmao - I do like mine for the extra light it gives in mine but like the guys say unless you dont mind getting a bit wet from time to time its prob not worth it...
Altho I do get more water coming in from my dodgy door seals than the sunroof!!!

mine doesnt leak, did when i got it, but cleaned and vasalined the seals, its been fine all winter, dont recon i'll be using it in the summer tho...

Hmmm - good tip Tim, might give that a go myself! I'd thought about tiger seal but didnt want to make anything worse by fiddling with it.
Obviously with the lovely weather were having theres no rush but maybe before those spring showers....

take the glass right out, think mine was due to the amount of grip and crap accumulated at the front corners, where you cant get to with the glass in.
depend on wheather you have the twisty knob or the flippy lever as to how you get the glass out.

Mines a twisty knob....
open it up fully, look at the bracket on the roof (not glass) theres a metal bit wioth a notch in it, screwdriver in here and push it back...
not the best puc, but here...

You might be OK judging by some of the other posts, but in my mates fender the seats are all mouldy where the water drips on them and as I said you get water on your head around every corner!
Thus I have always avoided them.. But good luck to you

Lol - the leak was why when I got round to recovering my seats I put vinyl back in coz the county spec fabric was horrible and soggy
