No MOT at the mo but it's just been sat in a yard since it last passed one mainly due to the garage it belonged to using me and my recovery truck ;)
I know bugger all about em but i gave this site a good looking through before i decided,
Great how to articals by the way  one of the best i've seen on the web, bustersbus needs a bleeding medal !
I do techy stuff for a cortina/club forum so i know of what i speak  :praise:

200 TDi, no S/R C/L or E/W (i like my cars simple) to worry about now if i can just make the tailgate open when i want it too and not just when my back is turned i'll be a happy bunny :)

Last pic till friday when i bring it home, i'm used to forums cos i Mod on one so i know how peeps demand pics of every new motor of the forum, i promise more :D

I've recently had me recovery truck written off so this (with a trailor) will be my new "bring the ****ters home wagon" except unlike a 25 foot transit XLWB i trust the wife to drive this one

The boot floor is pretty bad but not as bad as i expected and there 2 pltes to do either side of the N/S rear arch but that's it really, inner wings are scabby but not teabagged yet (ok i know that means something else to the dirty buggers out there but to me it meens full of holes) :p
The body has been off at some time and the chassis wire brushed and hammerited and it's held up quite well actually (fingers crossed).

I may have a wee bash at green laning at a later date, i know somone with a rather taisty 90 who's well into it but he might be a bit advanced for me

If the Honda Formula 1 team can be sold for a quid then so can that...congrats! :welcome2:

Hello, :welcome2: to the palace of ****-taking; pull up a trundle-truck, oh, and give my chassis a clean while you're down there? ;)

Finally got the "duck" home, yeh i know crap name but me Mum named it so what can i do
Anyway Drove home real nice appart from the expected wallowing :D
Everything works appart from the drivers window is stiff and wonky but TBH as i only paid £30 for it i'm not really inclined to moan
Passed the MOT with only the one advisery which was, Tcut the fooker it's frikken pink ya poof (i like a straight talking MOT man), he did say the boot floor was passable but not pretty but seeing as the hole is not even big enough to get a fist through it'll wait till just before the next MOT :D

Anyhoo the real problem was, only £20 to spend making it look presentable, Hmmmm T cut and some cloth? Na 4 jumbo tins of satin black and some window tint please Mr trade sales person (even had enough change to get a bacon butty) bonus

Before

After an hour (25 mins to mask the decals 15 to tint the windows 20 mins on paint )

minor002.jpg

And gave up cos it got cold halfway through the tother side

minor003.jpg

still got the drivers rear and safari window to tint, not a brill job but i carry leccy disabled buggys in it so wanted em out of sight and the tint was on special offer and cheaper than sheets of steel (if you get the impression i'm right tight it's probably cos i am).
So there it is £100 years MOT and TAX (free disabled tax in case you wonderd)

Purchase £30
MOT £40 (trade)
S/H battery £10
Paint 1.99 500Ml tin X 5
tint film 2.99 X 2
Bacon sarnie £1.50
Mind you when i got it it came with a optima yellow battery and i sold that to a racer for £50 so it really only stands me in £50 but if i said £50 it'd be taking the **** a bit don't ya think
Oh and if you are wondering why the hell i left the crap decals on? well i got it from a body shop and there was a pack of 5 rolls off masking tape in the back and leaving em on and masking round em was cheaper than buying the paint to cover the areas ;)

Fook me, when i think how many times i gave lapdancers 30 quid .... i could have had my own parking section at heathrow...well done...im impressed....really...

It's a 6 footer TBH, any closer and it looks crap but hey, i needed to get back on the road and i hate pink, what can i say.
Oh and pasing pensioners get stuck to the paint cos it's so rough but it's good for rubbing down them bunions :D
The doors are pretty fooked TBH but the rest of the outer body is better than most of my cortinas i use daily  door shells are well rusty but on the body all i had to do was 2 plates and tack the drivers rear quater back on at the bottom.
