Hi from Lancashire,
I just got my 1st Land rover.
Its a 2001 Freelander 1.8i Its not flash and or expensive but it has an MOT and drives OK.
It has 91000 miles on it and has had the timing belt done and the head gasket in the service history.
It has also had the driveshaft removed so is front wheel drive only. That fine as I don't go off-road.
My previous car was a Renault Grand Scenic and its not that I disliked it but it was just a tool.
I am not really a car head, more into motorcycles than cars, so I was quite surprised that I have taken an instant liking to it.
I will be getting a Haynes manual and hope to be able to maintain it myself.
I hope It will last me a couple of years while I save for a better one.
I do like the defenders and hope to have a drive in one sometime and maybe buy an older one in the future.
Best regards,
Dave.
