Recently came back to Landy ownership after 10 years in the wasteland by picking up a tidy low mileage Disco 2 Landmark. Prior to this I've had a '79 range rover 3 door that was a rust bucket - replaced with a green 110 2.5 td county station wagon that I ran for a few years when I lived in Worcester. A move to Scotland meant giving up the 110 for a year or two but it was eventually replaced by a 110 tdi CSW which was stolen from a railway station carpark after only 10 days of ownership. Once the insurers coughed up I bought another 2.5 TD 110 CSW which I ran until the wife decided we needed more luxury so I traded that one for a 1999 Disco 2 TD5 which I kept till 2008. After a replacement engine (oil pump packed up) followed by replacement ACE pipework then a blown turbo I decided it was getting too expensive to keep on the road so I've been running a Skoda Octavia estate ever since. We moved out into the sticks 3 years ago and have suffered the last 3 winters getting stuck in the snow so senior management agreed I could get another 4x4 so long as it wasn't another rusty County. Hence the 2004 disco 2. Only 43500 on the clock and the upholstery is as good as new. I now have a very happy wife and a reason to get all those BIG tools out again.

since you asked nicely. The red one is the old one, the black I've had nearly 2 weeks. All my Defender pics are on transparencies in a box in the loft waiting to be scanned.
