Hi everyone joined just now, but been 'visiting' the site for some years now and found some useful and funny advice that did help me on my own landy or just to pass the time .

Few weeks back I bought a '82, 109 that I am now in the (slow) process of renovating, whilst still using this fuel-guzzeling beast as daily transport. Not ideal driving around without floor and transmission panels in this wet climate...

Welcome to the forum mate.

I spent some time on Harris when I was younger mainly in Tarbert and Finsbay then went down to Benbecula to get work. Absolutley beautiful part of the world that I must go back and visit sometime, Hopefully in the Landie. Whereabouts are you?

Cheers barmatt, I live in Northton and am in the process of setting up a outdoor business in Leverburgh, for which I want to use the 109 as company car . Not everybody likes this place though as it can be a bit windy from time to time...

Tis a bit windy up there but you've got some cracking beaches and lochs to make up for it. You'll have to put some pics of the Island on here so folks can see how beautiful it is.
