Hello there!

I'm Phil from the West Country and I have this wonderful contraption:

Having paid a pittance for it I then found I had to spend a LOT on it to get it through the MOT. Many thanks to Matt of Nippon Tune for three solid weeks of welding at mates-rates and for taking the dive of "learning Landrover" instead of Jap Performance!

Spec:
  • 1995 300TDI Discovery 1
  • 2" lift on riser blocks standard shocks and springs (yes it's awful but I didn't do it)
  • Clipped arches with custom fabricated plyjean arch liners
  • Winch bumper (as yet no winch)
  • Custom fabricated tubular rear bumper
  • Modulars with big Goodyear Wrangler dirt tyres
  • Full diff, gear box, transfer box etc high level breathers
  • High lift jack bolted to bonnet
  • Set of shackles from a sandstone mine
  • Custom fabricated high-level side exit exhaust
  • Proper safari snorkel
  • No interior, stripped out, rust treated/repaired and fully hammerited
  • CB
  • Dodgy gearbox (will replace it at some point)
  • Scratched, dinged, dented and scabby bodywork in a sort of green/blue colour
  • Intermittent central locking
  • Dodgy passenger door (wont open from outside sometimes)
  • Diff guards
  • Steering guard
  • Leaking power steering box (just keep topping it up!)
  • Smokey engine sometimes, generally on max vacuum (fluttered throttle)
  • Clunk from front somewhere (no not the CV or bearings, done all them)
  • Roof light bar (will get some lights on it at some point having sold the old ones)
  • Chunky high amp battery
  • Some dodgy engine bay wiring to the temp sensor that looks like it was on fire at one point
  • Did I mention rubbish bodywork?
  • New wheel bearings all round
  • Complete new fluids all round baring gearbox cus I scared it might break it completely
  • Loads of tow rope and other such stuff in the boot, really must get round to making some storage in there
  • Dirty seats
  • Lots of smiles
  • Lets go disco
  • Round here we pick up farmers on the CB... BRILLIANT!
