My Old Landy

Keep breathin'

Hi all,
I am picking up my first Landy on Saturday. Its a 1987 90 with a 200tdi conversion and a disco rear axle.
I've wanted a Land Rover since I was young.... Now I'm a grandad I have finally taken the plunge!
I have no illusions about how they are and I am looking forward to many hours fettling :)
Hopefully I can add to the forum as much as I gain in knowledge and experience from you all.

Welcome to the forum.

Has it got any rust?

Increase the security. They're easily nicked.

Hi and welcome. Not sure where you are in Bucks, but there is a local Land Rover Fun day this Saturday afternoon. Feel free to pop in and say hello if you want. Free entry.

Thanks for the welcome. It has a fairly solid chassis and bulkhead :)
I have ordered a full pedal cover and a GPS tracking device. It will be locked up in my workshop most of the time!

I doubt that I will be back from picking it up but that event looks fun, thanks for the invite.

I picked up the Landy and drove the 120 miles home with no issues :)
I'll post some pics in the defender section. I am really happy with her and she drives better than I thought she would ;)
So the journey begins.......
