Hi,
I drove an airportable when I was stationed as UN forces in Cyprus in early 1975.
Would like one as a fun vehicle for me and my 2 sons but my youngest son has limited use of his right arm (accident age 15) so can only drive autos. Has any one thought about/ achieved, fitting something like a Disco engine and auto box into a Lightweight?
I have read most of the engine conversion threads and some stuff on other websites but not seen anything on an auto box. Have seen Defenders with that conversion.
I am aware of the likely on gong servicing costs of running an old Landy.
Any help or words of wisdom appreciated.
