Hi to all
i will be buying a range rover soon:) and was wondering what the 2.5 dse was like to own and drive plus what to look out for, as dont think i could afford the big 4.6 gas guzzler:mad:

The Diesel is a bit slow and lacks the refinement of the rest of the car. But you do get resonable economy, best to try both before you buy.

Yep, I had my 1999 Disco II TD5 chipped plus a bigger intercooler. Power up to 185bhp and almost 100ft lb more torque, it hurt the economy by only 1 mpg, cost total about £1,100 fitted. Went like stink.
 
do you have to change intercooler when you get it chipped or can you just chip it plus how much for chip on its own?
 
No you don't have to change the intercooler as well, but you won't get the same performance from just the chip, but it will be cheaper of course. Don't know how much.
