Hello, I'm new to the forum so just introducing myself.
I have always been around land rovers since a kid, my old man had defenders 90 td4 and td5 & 110(early 80s sw, man that was a pig to drive) , discoveries 1, 2 & 4. Me and my brother have been land rover fans for a while he's progressed from freelanders to discovery now a posh ranger rover.
I'm more recent owning a freelander 2, which I loved, now an evoque which I'm a bit embarrassed about. I've recently bought a 300tdi 110 hardtop to regain my manliness and I've started stripping it down to return it to former glory, the chassis other that the rear cross member and front coil support looks remarkably good. The bulkhead needs some attention but it doesn't look too bad but until the paint is off you never know, I have some questions about that I'll ask in the the forum later. Mechanically it seems fine and the body is going to need a fair bit of tlc (and money) but I'm in no rush I've given myself a 5 year deadline.
For the record except for the annoying handbrake the evoque is nice to drive... Am I allowed to say that, anyone....................................?
