Ok so I'm the newbie here and wanted to say hello to everyone. Having just bought a Range Rover P38 for me and given my Disco to my wife.
I now need some help desperately please.
The rangerover won't select Low box and the display says select neutral. So far I have tried putting fuse 11 in and the the range selector selects neutral in the transfer box, when I take the fuse out I can go back to high. I have had the transfer box ecu out and apart, no black or burnt components and looks like new. I have also had the neutral selector switch plug off and tried bridging it dash still says select neutral. Put everything back and looked again at my workshop manual it states that the ecu connector is a two row 55 pin connector however my ecu has 3 rows of pins and looks nothing like the drawing. There is another connector but I believe thats for an auto gearbox EAT ECU but the plug for this looks very like the drawing for the 2 row 55 pin plug for the transfer box ecu. So to help can anyone tell me if I am looking at the right ECU and is there any way of fooling the ecu that the car is in neutral by shorting the wires on the connector and which two.
Hope you can help and look forward to your replays.
