hi all ive just joined and im looking for my first landy im after a freelander 3dr, but my budget is poor about £1600 so ill be looking at high milers what should i be looking for problem wise any help would be helpfull

steer clear of anything witha 1.8 petrol in it! But what do I know, I havent even got a landy

Don't do it!
Buy a Disco instead - you'll get a half decent one for that money.

Hello, ref. freelander info I found LR mags tend to do various buyer's guides. Also heard of problem with gearbox/housing/engine wanting to seperate. Not confirmed but worth checking!
