Hi and welcome. Don’t they all need a bit of love. :)

Thanks and aint that the truth !! Her mot runs out next month so she went in for pre mot, knew ahe had a few issues, required new rear shocks, UJ’s on both props, rear trailin arm lower bushes - had dropped drivers door but all fixed with new hinges, now workin my way through drive train also needs new clutch as has crazy clunkin sound when releasing - all good fun though or has the madness set in

Sounds like you’re going to be busy, but that’s part of the fun. Lots of good advice on Landyzone, but you sound well versed.

I’ve just had a LOF clutch fitted, and I’m happy with it. Which may be something you can look at?

Anyway, enjoy the forum and speak soon. :)

Hi and welcome!

Sounds like a good project. Don’t forget some pics of the new Landy!

The clunking sound is just as likely to be a worn A frame and/or rear suspension as the clutch.
Or it could even be worn UJs or hub drive members.
Accurate diagnosis is important, otherwise things can get seriously expensive.

Guys thanks for the encouragement- already replaced UJ”s and rear radial bushed upper and lower as these failed pre mot
New borg amd beck clutch kit and HD arm ready to go in plus rear drive shafts and flanges
Will continue with updates with new thread in Projects forum plus pics
As said have hand Land Rovers before but this clunkin is a new one on me

Series don't have A frames, because they have leaf springs. Coil sprung vehicle suffer from that particular problem.
