Hi folks. New to the forum and keen to sort the 110 out. My bugbear is the formerly galvanised strips to the sides which seem to rust away terribly. how do you remove these and replace them?

Mart

How do lad. Drill the rivets out or use a hammer and chisel. How's the coast of Norway? Still rather proud of it?

Cheers and sorry for taking so long to respond - problems with my new broadband and new e-mail address. Could not get back into the zone! Yes the fjiords were one of my prouder achievements, second only to stopping rusty streaks down the side of me ivory white panels on the 110! I resorted to pan galactic gargleblasters. Will try with the persuader and chisel and sticking back some new or salvaged sections - do you know what the strips are actually called?

Fair enough - whats the name of the specs that go black when danger approaches? Anyway what are the galvanised side strips between the rear tub and the upper panel called?
