Bought a 1979 series 3 land rover March 2010. Saw it in a field with grass and **** growing over it. Went to the person who owned it, Bought it for 400 pounds. Put new battery on it, changed points, it started and drove it away. Needed a new rear quarter had one put on. Changed front lights as was rotten. It then passed MOT. Then changed clutch , Slave and Master cill. Put new exhaust on. And she run's like a dream.(As good as to be expected)
Just one or 2 problems to sort out
1)Passenger door opens whilst driving, jumps to the outer edge of striker plate
(any information to solve this would be great, as starting to do you head in)
2) Chassis needs painting
( whats best to paint it in)
No doubt as time goes on will have a few more problems , so hope you all are hear to help
