Hi folks. I have a Rangie 4.6 HSE 1996 auto, with 165.000 km on it. I dont have any overheating issue, but is recomendet for this milage to change the head gasket??? And what i have to change to be safe from overheating???

If your not having problems then i'd leave the HG well alone.
Depends whats been renewed recently on the cooling system.
If it's on the original rad you might want to replace that, new coolant & waterpump (with metal impeller) would be my advice.
On that mileage it could be getting ready for a new cam though.

Camshaft??? The waterpump is new with metal impeller, radiator is new to...

Ok, so if your not having problems I would just change the coolant if it hasn't been done in the last 2 years.
Camshafts are reputed to wear on RV8's anywhere upwards of 80k. Regular 6k oil changes helps this though. Mine is ok with current engine on 90k.

i dont have to change if there is no problem on that i think :) the coolant i have changed 6 month agon :)
