Hi All

I have now managed to measure the depth behind the satnav screen on my 2001 y reg 4.6 reg with the aim of fitting a double din stereo in its place.

As mentioned, the area is not deep enough and i need to find another 1.5 inches of space.

I still think this is doable and it may be possible to cut into the hevac unit and then fit a remoulded piece of plastic and get the extra space.

Has anyone had that hevac unit out or know if there is a void behind the plastic case or will i end up damaging wires/electronics or matrix's
