My TD5 Discovery 2 (1999) when starting from cold runs on very low revs for a few seconds before picking up - sounds hesitant - can I please ask is this usual? if not what may the problem be? Not particularly high milage (105K) Starts no probs once warm.
Thanks

The TD5 engine only has 4 glow plugs could be that one or all of them have broken.
Yes really because the fuel pressure regulator is bolted to the side of the block where the rear glow plug should have gone. The head is only drilled for glow plugs on the front four cylinders. A TD5 in decent order does not need glow plugs to start even in the coldest of weather.
