trying to install aftermarket stereo in 99 rr cant get sound

Hi what do you mean you can't get sound ?

does the set light up ?

If so then you have found an incorrect wire probably earth instead of speaker

Have you tried your local Radio installers (Not happy Halfords)

You may need an adaptor to connect between the cars loom and your radio or just keep moving the wires till you get sound (BE Very VERY careful not to plug POWER to speakers the set does not like it)

Buy a haynes service book and it will show the wiring diagrams and tell you what colour all the wires are all you need to do then is find out what all the wires on the radio are put them together and you've cracked it !!!
