i've just bought a series 3 109 that was originally a soft top, but has had a hard top fitted. it still has the tailgate and a u/s rear lid (no hinges for the lid). i've bought a door to go on, and hinges, but can't see where (or how) to fit the top hinge (the bolt holes are visible for the lower hinge - but obviously the top never had a door fitted). the haynes manual is not overly helpful in this matter, so any help here would be much appreciated. thanks a lot.

just put the door in place, drill some holes and then fit some big nuts and bolts. jobs a good un

fit both hinges to the door. fit door in hole and secure with bottom hinge. then mark holes for top hinge. drill and fit.
