Hi all, New to this site but I have done a search which has come up inconclusive really, I’ve got a 2003 HSE with the non sat nav head unit, it’s got the CD disc slot at the top then the MFD display underneath, the pixels are starting to go and I’d like a screen and to be able to plug my phone in. Has anyone done a swap with a unit off eBay and can show me and add the link please? It’s got an amp in the boot but not the DSP amp, much appreciated, Andy.

hi there
my 2005 hse has a stereo upgrade in it
it has sat nav built in,cd, dvd, radio, touch screen, blue tooth, usb ,micro sdd card, plugged into 6 disc multi changer and mp3,and apple thingy, input for tv and reversing camera
its brilliant and all steering wheel control works,
only thing is 0 to 60 and mileage reset dosent work, big deal, 0 to 60 = slow, needs a calendar not a stop watch, and mileage = who buys a range rover for good mpg.
i just disconnect the battery at 12 o,clock to reset the time.

heres the head unit, if it helps.

lock stock and two smoking barrels..dean and gary .with rs 2000
'now i dont care who you use..as long as they are not complete muppets!'
i have a question now..
if i did go and do what my hearts wants..buy a tdv8.. do they have head units that would play a dvd on the front screen, or not?
obviously some have the rear entertainment screens, but to what ends and cost or model would one have to go to watch a dvd on the front screen
as shopping night is me sat in the front watching lock stock or something with simon pegg n nick frost !

My L322 came with an aftermarket Dynavin unit for BMW, it's plumbed to the DSP, steering controls, engine sensors for coolant etc.. and factory CD multiplayer. Gives me TV, DVD, SATNAV, Telephone plus a charging point and various slots for memory cards. It is a nice touch screen unit. I think Dynavin is a US brand with Chinese manufacturing. Only criticism is the touch screen can get a bit slow. I still have a working Traffic master button... pushed it and expected the usual... "please renew your subscription" and instead I got a very annoyed call centre lady because I had wasted her time! Previous owner must have taken out the life time subscription, who uses Traffic master these days?
