I am in the process of converting the dash on my old Series 3. Today I have rewired the 1990 110 dash in but the fuel and temp gauge are reading full wack.
I know its a resistor that is needed or something similar but has anybody got any help that they could pass on to me. Please please please.

I have simply put the wires off the original temp guage and fuel gauge and they just read red hot and full tank but the engine is cold and the tank is a quater full. HELP HELP HELP.

Thank You for your reply. I have the Green double wire that was originaly on the old gauges on the new gauges. It is a twin earth cable if I am explaining it correctly. A single wire with two spade connectors on it. I don't have a Manual to have a look at the wiring diag. Anybody got a scaned version for me to look at ?

GOT IT. THUMBS UP TO CHARLOTTE.
Went out to the landy had a look at the tank and then the clock. Then the penny dropped. 2 wires 1 Earth 1 Sender signal for the Fuel Gauge....NO NO NO !
1 wire is the sender signal for the fuel gauge and the other is the low fuel light..
You know that annoying light that you keep looking at when your tank is getting low and your heart pounds thinking what oil pressure light, No Bloody fuel again.
The gauge needs a Earth to it so did the Temp gauge. Easy mistake. The old clock had a earth but with it having 4 clocks now the earth needs to be spread across the Temp & Fuel not the Voltage gauge or the Speedo. So if you are thinking on putting 90 or 110 dash in remember to put the earth on the Fuel & Temp gauge not the speedo or volt gauge.

So Cheers Charlotte got it in the end. You was right. You life saver.

Keep the FORUMS alive people as they are there to help and that they do.
Cheers again.
