I am here on behave of a friend of mine who doesn't speak the lingo.

He has just bought a Disco 1 300Tdi and he has got it into his head to buy a winch.

His question is this, does he need to buy a special front bumper so that he may fit a winch or can he fit a winch to the original one he has?

Also, are the T-Max 12,500Lb winches any good?

He needs at least a winch tray, the front bumper isn't strong enough alone to take the strain.

T-Max are reasonable as a cheapish winch, not heard any problems about them anyway!
