Just got my 3.5l v8 back from a rebuild and having problems the water has gone brown and the car keeps getting rather hot i dont know what the problem is can anyone help?

is it loosing water ,sounds like your getting combustion gasses in cooling system,unless system is still filthy from previous issue ,what was original problem

I lost water other day due to the guy who built it spliting a hose so had to refill it but no water loss sincr the , there was no previous issue with the engine just had it rebuilt because it had 110000 miles on the engine and just wanted a perfect engine and not to have to worry about it
