Hi can anyone shed any light on a recent problem I am experiencing on my 89 SE Vogue EFi 3.5 Auto

This problem is on long journeys (80miles plus) the engine appears to be stuttering as though fuel is loosing pressure or not getting through. No change in rpm or mph just a stutter or holding back (like spark plugs being incorrectly gapped although they are not)

I am starting to believe it could be an electrical fault or a burning out valve or even worse the timing chain about to give up.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. It has became noticable following replacement of the thermostat.
