windows problem and stereo, just recently bought an 02 freelander td4, first windows stopped working, driver door first,(others worked) now just rear door window works, (stereo have factory stereo but not working on buttons on the steering wheel) , no workshop/owners manual. Am stuck appreciate the help, thanks

The windows are most likely the be the cables. However it's easier to fir the complete regulator assembly. These aren't too expensive from that auction web site.

Have the wheel controls stopped working, or have they never worked?

It's worthwhile doing the one wheel up test to check the 4X4 system. Also make sure all tyres are identical. If the 4X4 system fails, windows and the stereo will be least of your problems.

I fitted a new full mechanism and window was working. Just stopped working the other day, all other windows work. The controls on the steering wheel where not working when I got car.

Check the widow wiring and fuse.

It's possible that someone fitted the wheel switches, but there's not always wiring in place for them. Especially if it's a base model Freelander.

Have you done the one wheel up test yet?
