Hi - newbie here. Would appreciate some advice please.
Fitting a new fuel filter to my 110 Td5 tomorrow morning (bit heavy handed - broke the drain plug on the old one this afternoon - bits of plastic left inside the filter - if you are aware of any 'idiot' adjectives that my wife hasn't already used then do feel free to let me know about them).
Aware that I will need to prime the fuel system once the new filter is fitted.
Have read posts on here and elsewhere that say that the way to prime the fuel system is to turn ignition to II, press the accelerator 5 times, and wait five minutes. Have read other posts on here and elsewhere that say this isn't the way to do it - but these don't give details of the correct way (perhaps this tells me what I need to know).
Anyway - can anybody give me some definitive expert advice on how to prime the fuel system on a Td5?
Many thanks in advance.
Best
Dr Tim
