Hi All,

I have recently just purchased a Range Rover Vogue l332 it's an 05 auto diesel with around 100k on it. Apparently it has a new battery fitted recently.

The day I purchased the car absolutely fine (minus the parking sensors not working)

I wake up the next day get in the car driving along and an error message pops up saying: "air suspension inactive". tried doing the wheel full lock each way the error message is still there.

I am then driving along today with the old error still on there and this error message pops up "transafe fail prog"

I must also mention when I hit around 50mph the steering wheel shudders.

Please Please Please can someone point me in the right direction as I have no clue to what it is.

Kind regards,

William

If you purchased from a dealer, take it back.

Location someone may be local with the gear....

With baby daughter so will post a longer message later about the trans failsafe message....

That sounds bad, take it back quick, those sort of faults would have been cleared prior to selling it
Could be failing transmission and the suspension could be a whole host of things and at 100k you are right in the danger zone of old enough to go wrong and not old enough to have had somebody else fix it.
Find my first post if you want an example
Diagnostics is the key, but I would be taking it straight back

I'm getting diagnostics back on it saturday hopefully it's just a battery, but failing that I would have to drive 4 hours away to get my money back... :/

I would at least talk to the seller, I live in Kent and bought mine from North Yorkshire so know what you mean.
Does your vibration happen if you drive slowly up a slight incline gradually increasing speed and it feels like you are driving over a cattle grid or the rumble strips at the side of a motorway and then stop altogether at around 55 mph? Does your rev counter move slightly when it vibrates?

A 4 hour drive is nothing compared to what it's likely to cost you to fix it.

no it's literally if im driving along and accelerate to around 50 the wheel starts just shuddering I beieve it just needs balancing I'm more concerned about the lights that have come up on the dash.

Give us an approximate location as someone might be local to you with the gear to diagnose it....as a for instance I work near Heathrow, so if you are close by I might be able to plug my Computer in and take a gander!....
