Hello - can anyone help? My 2002 TD5 Defender is a bit odd in that the heater works really well. I thought a good little winter project might be to improve the control of blower from the OFF, JUST ON, NOISEY GALE FORCE options available.

I got a PWM from a Chinese eBay site for £9 which came in 2 weeks. It offers on/off control and a potentiometer for control (Don't be deceived by the 3 positon switch - it's NOT high and Low range as I initially thought - it's Clockwise and Counter-Clockwise control - it cost me a fuse finding this out as I had commoned up the earths throughout)

My question is very simple - I've no desire to start chopping plugs of the vehicles wiring loom so would like to connect the control wires direct to the fan motor using the correct plug, leaving the current one in place in case I or future owner want to reverse to originality ...... I can't find a name for the 3 pole plug or a supplier and I've searched long and hard ...

Picture below - any ideas?

All help very gratefully received,

That's a Sumitomo HW sealed series 3-way connector.

I can do you both the male and female of that connector, PM me ;)

.

Hi Paul - (I think I've bought off you before) - that's great and thanks for the quick response. I had looked at the Sumitomo range but never found the right look for the female bit - I think there is an additional housing unit or soemthing. I'll work out how to use PM now!
