Hi all I have been directed to your good site by links I've searched and have signed up and hoping I could call on your expertise to help a new member out with my range rover. Apologies if this might not be the correct place to ask a question I'm just getting to grips with your site. I have a 4.6 thor engine had a battery low issue couple of weeks ago and after charging it wouldn't start turns over but no spark or fuel. I read codes as I have a launch x431 system as mrs has a Renault.... yeap thought better of keep taking it to dealers !! The range had crank sensor fault so proceeded to change it but still no start the only other fault i am getting now every time is immobiliser incorrect code data a. Would this by any chance be a becm to engine ECU sync issue ? Possible the crank fault was either coincidence or a ghost fault as it couldn't start anyway due to un synced codes. The key works cranks and opens locks doors remotely etc was driven fine day it would not start then when I went to go back out but battery was low so took of to recharge. I have read links talking of a syncmate hoping might be a good samaritan on here close to oldbury in Birmingham who could help .. beer tokens obviously on offer.
Thanks so much for your help it's a sad day when the range is parked on the drive and I can't use it :-(( I have had it since 2005 so im not giving up on her now and this is the first ever time not starting had to keep her on the road along the way with numerous parts but always started

BECM to ECU immobiliser code corrupted, need a Nanocom or other diagnostics to resync.

^^^^^^
THIS. :-(
Tip-Top Battery maintained in a good charge-state is essential.
Fixable though, just needs re-synch by the sound of it. Find someone local with a Nanocom.
I think @martyuk has a hire service (with a sufficiently large but refundable deposit to cover risk), he may be able to help you OP.
Good luck.

Or check the Landyzone International Rescue Map snd see if there is a member nearby with appropriate diagnostics.

If battery is flattening then search for threads containing RF receiver.

Thanks so much for the replies so far peeps most appreciated shows what great place this is for help. I've spent some more time tinkering with it tonight using the launch x431 system which still shows immobiliser- incorrect code Drive cycle a and also a generic code reader which pulled p1672 and after reading through and searching on here confirms unsynced EMS ECU and becm
Ironically the launch system has an option to.immobilise reprogram and when using it it does put the becm into diagnostics mode as it say on instrument screen and you can hear clicking in passenger footwork so talking to it then says complete and turn to 2 on ignition communicates then the program closes so you assume done turn over still no start and when checking fault codes same is back so think it isn't set up correctly to do what syncmate or nanocom can
So I'm hoping to get one ideally a nanocom as the car wont be sold anytime soon so will come in handy and prefer that to recovery to land rover .....
Any thoughts on the best place to order from new or is any for sale on here by users who might not need it anymore or for now if anyone has one close to me bootful of beer me thinks if it gets ot to start :)))
I'm going to check the international rescue next thanks for the tip

As far as I am aware you can only get a Nanocom from Blackbox Solutions on their online shop. The odd second hand one does come up but very rarely. You need the right module for your car though ... And lead if not for a p38.

Let’s hope it couldn’t actually attempt to reprogram the immobiliser, that could be worse than loss of sync. Be careful what you tinker with in there ;)

I can start mine with a spoon, probably.

Thanks to marty ;) :D

I'd send the BeCM off to marty to have the EKA and all the bull turned off, it's great!:D
