Wondering if anyone has come across this before!
I recently purchased a 110 v8 to use as a works vehicle/toy. When i got the old girl home I realised the tracking was out, alot. One new track rod later problem solved barr final adjustment. less than 30 miles later I noticed that the new bar had developed a very slight curve, then that evening i caught a curb whilst on full lock reversing into my parents drive which resulted in a very bent track rod!
I'm stumped, I cannot figure out what has caused the rod to bend, it could be down to incorrect fitting, im certainly no mechanic but thought id done everything correctly. There could be another fault that is causing this but i cannot think what it could be as she drove fine before!
I would greatly appreciate any advice on how to fix this, or even general pointers on where to start.
Thanks.
