Hi

i recently registered myself on this website and asked if anyone could help me with a problem i'm having with my Discovery. i'm only getting approx 12 mpg there is no loss of power and i have recently had it serviced and it has passed its emmisions. Can anybody help as i don't know where to start looking?

Hi Farmers Girl.
Well that sounds a little strange to say the least... I only get around 19mpg in my 300tdi auto, but i do wear lead wellies.... I think my first port of call would be a good tune by a deisel specialist, preferably one that knows a little about your engine (you didnt say which engine it is/year/miliage). if you can get it back to 25mpg which it should do, you will get your money bck in no time.

Hi Farmers Girl
Iv'e had fuel problems before on my Landy's and after much headscratching
the problem was diagnosed as a weeping fuel pipe. Have them checked!

How a car is driven has an effect on the mpg that you can acheive.

Need to know which engine, if it's the V8 Petrol & automatic, then you are doing OK for around town driving. If diesel & manual, then someting amiss. Let us know which engine & gearbox you have, either manual or auto & the age of the Disco may help.
