Hi All

I am planning a trip to wales to do some green laning, i have been told to go and try Strata Florida and have started looking for other lanes around that area. I am currently waiting for my new version of memory map which i can use to find the local lane but i would apreashiate some local advise on which lanes to try in and around that area.

Thanks

Rob

There are plenty of threads. Don't know where you are coming from but green laning warwickshire go that way often.

Is your very well modified? From what I hear strata without a well prepped vehicle on the wrong day can be deadly. Erm please tell me not in the freelander!!

There are acouple of us going, we are using standard disco's 1 with lots of recovery points, a winch is fitted to one, we have loads of erecovery equipment we are both members of 4x4 response.

strata isnt that bad, there,s the bomb hole but if people dont fancy going into that there is a detour at the side of it, only thing i would say is if its been raining heavy, its a good idea to have a properly fitted snorkal as the river crossing can get a little high

Good :)

A good search on here will find several groups who can at least point you in the right direction.

Thanks for getting back, there are so many that come on here having just driven off a forecourt and straight to nearest green lane or what they thought were and get in problems. A novice trying strata in a near standard would be a nightmare.

Given your involvement in 4x4 response, could I guide you towards Landy Zone International Rescue? It a group prepared to assist others in trouble ranging from a simple tow when broken down to full recovery. Mhm can tell you more if you pm him. Always looking for new members.

I would suggest Wayfarer for a first trip into Wales for laning. Nice and long and enough to keep you busy without too much risk.
