Just found out my husband is broken down on the A595 near, I think he said Thornthwaite turn off. If there is anyone near by, can you check up, he has 2 of my young daughters in a T reg Red Range Rover P38. I haven't got a car as my husband has the only road legal car

Waiting to see if thread is moved to lzir.

Do you have any idea of symptoms

No idea, just found out, someone called me asking for my husband, expecting to be at the house in Scotland, I try calling to check up on him just to find out he has been broken down for about an hour, I think he said something about the prop shaft or something, didn't get much out of him as my 2 kids were in the car screaming

Okay well screaming children is a good indication that they are ok and generally fustrated/ bored and it isn't freezing so we can see if someone on our map is local.

I don't know P38s at all but if he has any tools couldn't he remove a prop and stick it in diff lock to get him home?

I was hoping someone near by would help, but I think its too much to ask as almost everyone works for sellafield, they'd probably be at work right now

No tools, just the kids stuff and pram and broken items we had replaced previously, haven't gotten round to taken them out

No, not that way, I'm in Whitehaven and he goes north on A595 2 get 2 Carlisle, there is a turn off saying , there's a lot of people who work 4 sellafield cause its well paid and they are like super smart

Your not helping your cause

It appears A66 up by keswick, also while you may think they are all super smart search "gamma spectroscopy hpge" as one of my interests

Screerun is your closest member just outside whitehaven fanny, try giving him a call ?

If not DuncanS in Keswick and Discodrivercumbria is somewhere up near whitehaven, not sure if I have his number though (may have deleted it:eek:)

I have txt mhm, always helps to have right A road when looking for help.

If the damaged prop is removed the transmission fuse as per hand book needs to select neutral on transfer box if it is to be towed locally.

If anyone agrees to tow it more than locally cash for fuel upfront to cover BOTH WAYS.

I've just looked at the maps and Thornthwaite is too small to be signed from the road he should be on

Only if he has geolocation function and has it turned on in camera settings. Only gives a lat and lon too but that might be helpful
