new to the forum, and crying out in desparation !!!
I have a 1990 V8 3.5 EFI Disco, which 9 times out of 10 starts first time, and runs fine.

Once in a while it doesnt pick up straight away, and then will not start for love or money !!

When this happens there is good spark, but there seems to be way too much fuel. The engine is flooded to the extent that you can see wet fuel around the exhaust joint to the manifold on the drivers side.

The only way I can get it to start is to remove all the plugs, leave it over night or longer, replace the plugs and she will start up first turn of the key.

It starts well at other times, although the fault seems to be brought on if you so much as wave your foot near the accelerator until it has had a 30 seconds or so to settle down.

Any ideas ?

It has been suggested that it may be ECU related, possibly a bad earth causing the fuel injection to open the injectors fully and then not close them, leading to excess fuel and then flooding.

thanks in advance for your help

Injection coolant temp sensor use only gen
Also if they are old replace the cap leads and rotor with gen items
