HI TO ALL CAN U HELLP ME JUST GOT THE DISCUVERY 2.5TD 1995 AND WEN I CHANGE GEAR IT SEAMS TO TING LOUD AND GRINDS WEN I TRY TO PUT IN SECOND BUT IF I DO IT SLOW ITS OK HELLP:cool:

I can estimate your IQ based on the fact that you can spell '**** off' but have trouble with 'hellp, uar and discuvery'....

My estimate is an IQ of 8, thats based on you eating a slice of ham earlier otherwise it would have been 2.
 
Well I have no idea what you mean by Ting but it is not uncommon for the gearbox to Crunch when changing into 2nd gear if you change fast.
As you have said it is ok when you change slow then just change slow its the way most of them are when they have a few miles on the clock.
Its not a fast vehicle and dosnt need a fast gearchange so either get used to it as most of us do or youe looking at a recon gearbox.
 
After extensive research on the 'net I find that ting is west Indian slang for thing, still dunt mek no sense! I also discovered that help only has on L in it :)
 
Why would you buy a vehicle with a buggered gearbox AND THEN ask if it's OK? Caveat emptor meets I saw you coming.
