Hi everybody, hope you are all well,
I've always loved the classic shape and the refinements of the land rover range rover.
I've just bought my first Land Rover, its a Range Rover Vogue TD6 - 2004
149.000 miles I've had a Full service done including the Gear Box.However sometimes its slow to accelerate and sluggish, put your foot down a bit, wait a while and than the power kicks in.
I'm only getting between 18- 21 MPG, I have been driving very careful indeed.
Does any one have any insight to the issue.
Kind regards
David

That fuel economy is rubbish!

I used to thrash a D3 2.7 and the worst I could get was 18mpg driving the nuns to the convent so to speak could almost double that!

You need a specialist, or a scrap yard!

Big car, thirsty and very complicated.

Won't handle anything like a Lotus Elise and can be made responsive with some chip tuning, maybe at the detriment of economy but if your motor is as bad as you say, you've got nothing to lose.

What have you done so far exactly?

Serviced it? All oils fluids & filters?

Could be a gummed up fuel filter or blown turbo pipe?
