new to forum but 2nd discovery ive had, first was a disco 1 MPI many years ago, just bought a 1999 TD5 disco 2 as a local run around. Currently working my way through all the know faults

Welcome aboard.
Stick a straight through exhaust on it. The TD5 has a lovely sound when you release it.
