Hi
I've recently (5 months ago) bought my first defender a '95 300tdi after my dad bought a '94 300tdi and I had a go...when I say I go, I basically left my 5 series on his driveway and robbed his defender for a month or so!
So the BMW went and I headed down to Penzance (from the north west) to pick up my eBay won defender. I must say, I knew not seeing it before committing to buy was a major no-no, but having seen so many local and speaking to the guy who had it for sale, I was happy to travel
. When I got there, after a 6 hour train journey, I was made up with the condition both internally and externally!
Anyway, a further six/seven hours later I was back home with my defender...a very tiring, but extremely satisfying journey!
I'm currently working on my, now oil stained, driveway - mainly cosmetic stuff, LED lights, soundproofing etc. But my dad is building a workshop with maintenance pit, so ill be heading round to his soon for a good waxoiling and poke around underneath!
I've attached a photo, mine left and my dads right (he's spent a lot more time and money on his!)
So after lurking here for the past few months I thought it was about time to say hello...and start sharing my issues and questions
